Carnival Cruise Vacations are Kid Friendly Fun Family Vacations | |
| Carnival Cruise Vacations offer the entire family something fun and exciting to do.... | |
Our family enjoyed our Carnival Cruises in July 2005, and May 2008. On the first trip, our family traveled with our family vacation friends, so there were 6 children and 4 adults total. The other family vacation on Carnival Cruise lines included just our immediate family....
We sailed on the Carnival Holiday from Mobile, Alabama to the Western Caribbean stopping in Cozumel, Mexico. Our second family vacation on Carnival was in May 2008 when we sailed on the Carnival Glory to Nassau, Bahamas; St. Thomas, USVI; and St. Maarten, N.A.
Here is a tour of the Carnival Glory....
We had enjoyed our May 2004 Royal Caribbean Cruise so much that we wanted to go cruising again, so we called our family vacation friends, and scheduled another cruise. The number one criteria for this trip was to sail from a location that was central to our home in Northeast Tennessee and our family vacation friends home in Middle Tennessee, so we were looking in the Mobile, Alabama or New Orleans, Louisiana area. We settled on the Carnival Holiday which sailed from Mobile. The dates of this cruise fit our schedule better than the cruises sailing from New Orleans. So, the decision is made..... we make our reservations.....
Carnival offers larger staterooms on board their ships - a big plus for our
large family. We were able to arrange a stateroom to accommodate our
entire family in one room. We actually had room to move around also....
The Carnival Cruise ships also have slides into the main pool on each ship.... the kids all really enjoyed this feature.
Carnival Cruise Vacations offer a multitude of things for everyone to do. We especially enjoyed the on board entertainment. We went to the dinner show every night. The kids even enjoyed the live shows, and why not take them along for the shows - a little culture never hurt anyone.
As a bit of trivia for you - David and I sailed on the MS Holiday in May 1990 on our honeymoon. This trip was a little different as you can imagine, but it was fun to see the ship again.

Camp Carnival is Carnival's children's program. Our kids, and the kids of our family friends really enjoyed the children's activities. A very favorite of all of the kids was the talent show - our kids did a skit. We all enjoyed it. The kids also really enjoyed the scavenger hunts. There were many game nights and activities that the children could choose to participate in. All of our children were in the 9 - 11 year old group on this trip, so
they were given a little more freedom on board, and were able to sign
themselves in and out. We were okay with that, as the kids learned the
layout of the ship pretty quickly. |

The
children really enjoyed being able to choose their dinner and dessert each
evening. The waiters were also really great with everyone - they
make the mealtime really fun. The children did not really mind
dressing up a little to go up for the meal. |
