Central Park - Breathtaking For Kids and Adults
My family and I recently went on a two-day trip to New York City. I must say, we had a very good time there. The kids loved the big city, we walked through Little Italy and Chinatown, all that good stuff.
Then we (of course) went to F.Y.E. Schwartz and looked at some of the hottest toys. Had we not had the kids along we probably could have gotten most of the Christmas shopping done in just that store!
After having an amazing amount of luck we managed to get the kids out of there and then we decided to walk through Central Park. And I must say it was a breathtaking site. It's a beautiful park that simply completes the big apple. It has some sort of spiritual connection, you can just feel what a great place it is. The scenery and views from different parts of it are amazing, it beats Valley Forge by a long shot (and that's saying something considering I love Valley Forge). And then of course, there is the John Lennon memorial. Though I am not a huge Beatles fan, I respect them and grew up listening to them all the time (my father was a fanatic) so seeing that was actually really interesting.
I really recommend you go to Central Park if you are taking a trip to New York City. We have been telling all of our friends to go, and they agree that it makes the trip spectacular! All in all, a great trip.
