Central Park Zoo - Great Value, Great Fun!

New York City provides fun and entertainment opportunities for the entire family. Whether you are single, a young couple starting out, or a family with children there is something for you in the Big Apple.

When traveling with small children, one of the best activities in New York City is the Central Park Zoo. The zoo is open year round and provides a variety of programs tailored to the season in which you choose to visit. With a variety of animals from different regions of the world there is plenty for the child to see. Everything from arctic penguins and polar bears to snow monkeys and red pandas are available to see during the year.

Whenever I take my nephew, who is twelve, to the zoo he always enjoys the feedings the most. At various times of the day, which is posted in the zoo, you will have the opportunity to view different animals being fed. We both find the penguin feedings to be hilarious and good family fun.

For small children, who may want to see the animals but not do all the walking, the Central Park Zoo provides a smaller children’s zoo. This is basically like a petting zoo in which children get to interact with a variety of animals.

The Central Park Zoo is a tremendous, kid-friendly family, attraction in New York City. You also can’t beat the price with adults admission at just $10 dollars and children $5 dollars. This allows you to spend an enjoyable day without breaking the bank. This makes the Central Park Zoo a can’t miss attraction.

The Central Park Zoo sounds like a great place to spend some time on that Family Vacation to New York City.

My family and I have visited twice, and are never at a loss to find great things to do..... we have walked through Central Park, but have never visited the Central Park Zoo.

We like to stay in the Times Square area, so the Central Park Zoo would be a great alternative for us to visit! We look forward to that in the future!
