Disney Magic Kingdom: Liberty Square Riverboat

On the Liberty Square Riverboat in Magic Kingdom, you will embark on your journey at the Colonial-American-inspired Liberty Square Riverboat Landing near The Hall of Presidents. During the ride Mark Twain will be narrating your trip.

Liberty Square Riverboat presents a great opportunity to rest and enjoy a relaxing during a busy day of exploring Magic Kingdom theme park. However, it offers much more than a break from the action. Especially on the heavily-wooded backbend of the river, past Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the experience truly feels like you've entered another place and time. The Liberty Square Riverboat actually has a boiler room that converts the water in the Rivers of America into steam that propels the paddle that powers the boat. This is one of the original attractions at Magic Kingdom Park which opened on October 1, 1971.

The Liberty Belle is an authentic replica of an old paddle wheel riverboat. It travels down the Rivers of America and circles Tom Sawyer Island all day. This picturesque tour offers a view of props along the riverbank to simulate a wild west effect. While not a thrilling adventure, this attraction offers a short break from the bustling crowds. The boat holds approximately 450 guests and has 3 decks from which to view the passing scenery. There are seating areas on each deck, however most areas are standing only.
