Hollywood Studios (previously Disney MGM Studios) opened on May 1, 1989, and covers 135 acres.  The park's theme is Hollywood classic movies and popular TV entertainment.  This is one of the best parks for teen-age children!  There is a great mix of fast, fun rides and great shows!

When our children were pre-teens, the Hollywood Studios was our favorite family vacations stop of all  the Disney World Theme Parks.  The Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster are our all time favorites. 

While visiting Disney Hollywood Studios, there are many opportunities to see characters and parades.... The Power Rangers were the most fun - they were fun to be around, and really got the guests in the park involved... see how much fun it is to pose with one of the power rangers....

Of course, the Disney characters from the movie CARS were a favorite on our December 2006 family vacation.  Mater and Lightening McQueen came through the park several times during the day and stopped for photo ops.

On our latest family vacations trip to Disney Hollywood Studios, we were able to see Fantasmic, where Mickey faces off against Disney villains in a lavish spectacular of dancing water, dramatic music, breathtaking animation, lasers, fireworks and surprises. It was a spectacular show - always very crowded, so plan to get there early. In our opinion, this park is very well suited to the pre-teen / teenager crowd.  There are shows and attractions for the younger crowd, but our children loved this park more as young teens.

Since we love to visit Disney, we want to visit more than just once, we have found that purchasing a ticket with multiple days on it (ie. a 7 day pass, or a 10 day pass) with the no expiration option will enable us to visit multiple for a much smaller price per day.  You can check out  Discount Disney World Tickets for all of the Disney Ticket options.

Tower of Terror This ride never gets old....from the Disney World Theme Park web site....Board a phantom elevator, shoot up 13 stories and brace yourself for a thrilling plummet... but beware! The experience just got scarier. You rocket back up, only to plummet down yet again. You dare to ride once more, but wait! That's not what happened before. That's right, now the Tower is in control, so it's never the same fear twice!

Aerosmith Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Absolutely awesome....Zoom from 0-60 mph with the force of a supersonic F-14, take in high-speed loops and turns synchronized to a specially recorded Aerosmith soundtrack and zip through Tinseltown in the biggest, loudest limo you've ever seen.
