Dollywood Splash and Play Family Fun

Our family, which included my husband and myself along with our daughter, 17 yr. old Godson, and 2 grandchildren (ages 8 and 4) visited Dollywood in July 2007.
There was so much to do that we did not get finished in 2 days. We all rode some rides together at the County Fair section and the river rampage(the 4 yr. old was barely tall enough to reach the height requirement, and loved it) and then the older ones, including the 8 yr. old tried the roller coasters,(the new Mystery Mine was a favorite), while I took the 4 yr. old and went off on an awesome adventure to the kid rides, playground and water activities and even attended the Veggie Tales Show. All of the rides and shows in Dollywood are very kid friendly.
We purchased the 3 day 'Splash and Play' tickets to make the most of Splash Country, also. We loved that with the many water slides and variety for all ages.
We felt that the three days at the parks was well worth the money spent on the tickets. We even had plenty of energy left to go on numerous go-kart rides in Pigeon Forge and visit the many shops, most open until around midnight. There was still plenty more we could have done, but after 4 nights of such kid friendly family fun, it was great to be home.
