Experience Turkish Culture: Annual Turkish Festival in Central Park

Last summer we went to a Turkish Festival in Central Park in New York City. It was a great occasion, because they brought out a variety of cultural richness such as their special Oil Wrestling, a Traditional Ottoman Mehter band, a mini copy of Grand Bazaar, so many delicious food and a number of tents and rooms which was bringing us to the nice and generous atmosphere of Turkey.
The music was wonderful and the tastes of everything was delicious. They had the oil wrestling which was so interesting. They were performing wrestling but the oil that they put on their body was making it hard to win the game.
Mehter band was one of the other interesting parts of it. They had their traditional costumes and big instruments. The music was nice.
Turkish tea and Turkish coffee was wonderful. Gozleme or Gozlama was the name of that traditional food which I had a choice of cheese, spinach or meat to eat. I tried cheese and I am waiting next year to have it again.
Shis kabob was there, but i believe every one of you tried it in one of Turkish restaurants around. And there were at least 10 different tents which were serving food over there.
Concerts and gifts were perfect and every single performance on the stage was excellent.
I heard that it will take place this year again in Central Park and they will be bringing 10 huge construction (from paper and light stuff - easy to bring) and will bring the visitors to Turkey. They will make it first in march 09 in Chicago and they will apply the same the NYC.
I can't wait to see it. Look it up by
