Free Walking Tours of the Washington DC Monuments and Arlington Cemetery

My cousin and his family were visiting from Tampa and together our two families numbered 13. We took the free monuments tour with DC by Foot, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The idea behind the tour is the guides work only for tips. That said, it attracts people. However, our guide was so knowledegable, vocal and fun, you won't notice your in a group.

Highly recommended.

DC By Foot - a great budget minded tour

Thanks so much for sharing this great tip.... My family and I have traveled to Washington DC multiple times, and I had never heard out DC by Foot!

This is definitely a great tip for large families and groups traveling together.... I know that we have avoided some of the guided tours before just because of the enourmous cost for our family.... this is a fabulous alternative!
