Glen Canyon National Park - Water Wonderland and Red Rock Oasis

Recently, our family enjoyed a weekend trip to Glen Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, Bullfrog Marina in Utah.
We accompanied friends on a Cruiser boat, so that we were able to pull up to any beach and camp there in the boat for the night. We went up the Bullfrog channel, then north to a couple different canyons, and camped overnight just off the main channel. We enjoyed hot dogs and smores around a campfire on the top of the red rock hill overlooking the main channel. Just across the channel we could see the red rock meet the blue water, it was just beautiful... very calming and serene, you can't see mountains or cities just the red rock and the water.
Camping at Glen Canyon National Park is like a vacation from the world. We enjoyed fishing, finding shells, and swimming. The next night we camped farther up the main channel and there was a small island nearby that the kids swam to looking for lizards and more shells and making sand creatures. Although we did not ski this time, we enjoyed watching others attempt skiing, wake-boarding, tubing, etc.
Glen Canyon National Park is a great kid friendly vacation.
