Hershey Park

Hershey Park is a great kid-friendly amusement park in Hershey, Pennsylvania. There are kiddie rides, rides for families, and a boardwalk water-park. Each ride has a specific height limit and children and adults can find out at the entrance of the park what the height requirements are. The heights have different candy names, for example, a small height is Kisses, a taller person would be Twizzlers. Each ride shows which candy height is allowed on the ride!
Zoo America, a North American wildlife park, is attached to the park. So once you buy Hershey Park tickets and you’re in the park, you can walk right into the zoo for no additional cost.
There are also several other events and activities that are kid-friendly. There are dolphin shows, entertainment shows, including summer concerts. Also, Hershey chocolate/candy characters (like in Disney World) walk around the park to talk to children and families and to take great pictures! Although some children are scared of these characters, the majority of children love seeing a giant Hershey bar. When the park is closed after summer hours, they have special events for Halloween, Christmas and Springtime. There is plenty of lodging in the surrounding town and other places to visit in Hershey.
Adjacent to the actual park is another fun place for children; Hershey’s Chocolate World. Chocolate World is a free place to visit, with a free tour ride explaining the Chocolate Factory and how it works. At the end of the ride everyone gets a free candy sample! There is so much at and near Hershey Park that is kid-friendly that children are sure to have a blast!
