Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana is Great

Holiday World and Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, is a very family-friendly amusement park.
The grounds are beautiful with plenty of shade and places to sit. The rides are clean, well-kept, and fun. The prices are quite reasonable, and include, for free, things that other parks gouge for - free sodas, free sunscreen, and free parking. They also have an on-site kennel available for your dog - air conditioned. They also have a great water park. All these features make Holiday World tops in my book.
While Holiday World admittedly does not have rides as over-the-top as Cedar Point, they do have some very nice wooden roller coasters, including one of my favorites anywhere - the Voyage. This roller coaster is great for anyone who loves to fall - a long series of hills and valleys with excellent "air time". I am not that fond of twisting and being yanked around corners, but I love "lipty-dips" and this roller coaster was an extreme delight for me.
All-in-all Holiday World is an excellent value and a great way to spend a day with your children. It will be appreciated by the value-conscious, the younger set, wooden roller coaster fans, and those traveling with pets. Those into extreme fear rides might be disappointed, but could enjoy a "kinder, gentler" experience and all the soda they can drink.
