year. The home of the first US president is open everyday, even during holiday
season. When you purchase a ticket for kids there’ll be an additional adventure
map of for free. Tourists and visitors are always welcome in the
Mansion so they can tour the many great sheds and outhouses that surround the
main house. Everyone can take a tour at the kitchen quarters, greenhouse, and
stables and even at the sleeping quarters of slaves during George Washington’s
time. Travelers can also wander around the four gorgeous and massive gardens.
They can stroll or hike around the Forest Trail and drop by at working farm
which house a replica of Washington’s treading barn. Tourists can also pay
respect to George and Martha Washington’s tombs as well as the Slave Memorial
and Burial Ground near the place.

Washington is being displayed at the Mansion through a huge collection of
original artifacts and videos. There are 25 theaters and galleries added in the
mansion to clearly educate the tourists and visitors about the Washington’s and
their humble plantation home.
- Touring the magnificent mansion can be a little
tiring but travelers don’t have to fret about it. The Mount Vernon Inn is
respected for its sumptuous lunch and dinner meals. Excluding Easter, Mother’s
Day and Thanksgiving which are the days that require reservations, a first come
first serve rule is implemented in the diner to accommodate as much as guests as
possible. You can even choose between casual dining at The Food Court and a
formal one at the Inn. Whichever you choose, you’ll surely
experience and taste the very best meals there is.

the Mansion is that it includes a shopping experience. The Shop is known for its quality and magnificent collection of George Washington
books. The Shop also markets food and wine that are locally produced in
Virginia. This wonderful shop also offers crafty and exquisite remembrances and
keepsakes that clearly spells Mount Vernon in all angle.
