Night at the Museum

Ok, it was day and not night, but the Smithsonian is amazing. My grandson (4 years old) loved the natural history and aeronautics museums the best. This is the perfect place to take the kids for a free and educational outing. There is so much to look at that you have to allot at a minimum a few days. And if you take the shuttle, getting from place to place is so easy and inexpensive too since you can reboard all day long without paying any extra.

We can't wait to return to Washington DC to see even more of the Smithsonian. Kudos to the curators and everyone that works within the separate museums as they are all so friendly and helpful.

Thanks so much for your great comments about your family vaation trip to Washington DC and your visit to the Smithsonian....

We love strolling through the Smithsoinian as well... you are right, you need at least a few days to really see everything. My children loved the Aerospace Museum and the Museum of American History.

We have gotten to the point where we travel to Washington DC at least once per year, and we are never bored!
