An Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball Vacation |
The Oakland Athletics play baseball in the McAfee Coliseum. The Coliseum plays host to concerts, conventions and other large gatherings in addition to serving as the home for the Oakland A's and Oakland Raiders.
We visited the Oakland A's at McAfee Coliseum Tuesday May 29, 2007 while on our family vacation to San Francisco....
The weather was great during our visit to the ballpark.... much better than the night of our San Francisco Giants game. It got real breezy before the game was over, but we had a great time.
The night that we were there, the Oakland Athletics played the Texas Rangers. Oakland lost the game with the Texas Rangers bringing in 4 runs in the 6th inning.

within walking distance or BART service distance to McAfee Coliseum.....

Getting to McAfee Coliseum
McAfee Coliseum has its own stop of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system,
but the Coliseum is very easy to drive to and there is plenty of parking
available. The facility is conveniently located adjacent to I-880 with two
exits (Hegenberger Road/66th Avenue) leading directly to the complex. We
drove to the ballpark, and did not have any trouble finding it, or parking.
BART - offers service between San Francisco and Oakland and directly to McAfee Coliseum.
