Actually Pigeon Forge offers kids museums, shopping, dinner theaters, restaurants, kids carnival rides, bungee jumping, theaters.... you name it!

Pigeon Forge Tennessee is one our favorite Fall Family Vacation destinations.  The area places you close to The Great Smoky Mountains, hiking trails, Dollywood Theme Park.  You could actually spend entire days in Pigeon Forge without going anywhere else.... but the entire area is a great vacation destination!

Kid Friendly Pigeon Forge Activities

Our family loves spending weekends in Pigeon Forge shopping and walking around taking in the sites....the kids love the go cart tracks -

The go carts tracks in Pigeon Forge are some of the best that we have seen.... The wooden tracks attached to the concrete track offers a really fun ride!!! 

Tip:  Most of the go cart tracks in Pigeon Forge have several tracks to choose from - one for adults and older children, and one for smaller children.... the tracks are usually priced ala cart though... that can make it fairly expensive for more than a few rides.....

Pigeon Forge is the home of many kid friendly museums..... one of our favorites is Wonderworks.....

Even the building itself makes you want to go inside for a visit.  Wonderworks has quite a few interactive activities to keep the kids busy for a whole day.  Even my older children really enjoyed the day we spent there. 

At Wonderworks, you can rest on a "Bed of Nails", test your fast pitch capabilities, test centrifugal force by riding a swing.... 

Pigeon Forge Tennessee is also home to many kid friendly activities such in addition to the many go-cart tracks.  One of the newer (2008) activities on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge is Adventure Quest. 

Adventure Quest offers three attractions for one ticket price, and it is indoors.  When my son and I visited there, the weather outside was cool, and we were looking for something fun to do for a few hours. Adventure Quest offers a mirror maze (we actually got lost and went around in circles for a while) , a black light mini golf course, and a laser light adventure (laser lights throughout a black room - the object is to get through the lights without breaking the light - it is not as easy as it sounds..... Give it a visit when you are in Pigeon Forge.

Pigeon Forge Hotels

We have several hotels that are our favorites in the Pigeon Forge Area...... what we look for is an indoor in the winter, and the least expensive option in the summer......

The Park Tower Inn - One of our absolute favorites.  It is out of all of the direct traffic, but still very close to many great restaurants.  The Park Tower has a great indoor pool and lazy river - the kids love it!

The Schular Inn - We have stayed at the Schular many times.  They have an indoor pool that is open 24 hours per day, and offer nice rooms - at a budget price.
