Surviving a theme park with your children

Most parents cringe at the thought of taking their children to a theme park. Some parents, while looking forward to the excitement that their children will have, still dread the day they have to take them. If you are like most parents then maybe I can provide you with some advice for a kid friendly theme park visit.
1 - Safety First - Once you arrive at the theme park, you will want to identify an emergency spot, where to go if for some reason you are separated from each other. Now if your children are younger this could be a tad harder. I suggest that you find some temporary tattoos that you can have designed with your name and phone number to place on your child. You will also want to point out to your children what the workers look like, who is safe to talk to so that if something does happen they will find the right person to help them.
2- Convenience - Rent a stroller, yes even if your children are say five, six years old. They get tired as well, and you will have a place to keep a back pack, purchases and just in case somewhere for your children to sit if need be.
3 - Prepare them for the long lines and let them know that this is just part of it and that it is well worth the wait. Bring something to entertain the small ones while in line.
5 - Plan your day out, know where the appropriate rides are for your children's age and know the time of the parades, and character appearances.
6 - Most important relax and try to enjoy yourself, do not stress over the small things and do not worry if your darling has a fit or two. After all they are still just kids.
