Tweetsie Railroad -family fun

One of our favorite theme parks to visit is Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, NC. To make things easy on the kids we go to the park after 3:00 PM. This gives us 3 good hours to walk around and see where everything is located. Also, by doing this you get in the second day free!! What could be better?
On the first day we enjoy some rides and plan out the next full day of fun. The park offers stroller and wagon rentals at a very low cost to help with the younger kids when they get tired. There are picnic areas all over the park to have a family picnic. The shows are nice and kid friendly. Even my 4 yr old son enjoys the dancing.
The rides are grouped together and there is something for all ages. There is a petting zoo area where you can feed the animals. The best part of that is one the way out there is a hand washing station to clean up after feeding and petting the animals.
We enjoy taking a trip on the Tweetsie Train for an upclose wild west performance. It really is alot of kid friendly family vacation fun for the whole family!
